The Recreation.Gov Web site identifies
hunting and other recreational opportunities on Federal lands. There are approximately

in the National Wildlife Refuge System that are open to hunting.

State wildlife
agencies manage the hunting license progams. Many states manage wildlife management
areas and other areas open to regulated public hunting. In addition to home pages,
other hunting-related sites on the Web may identify opportunities for hunting
a particular species or in the particular geographic area of interest to you.
Please remember to get permission from private landowners before hunting on their
lands.
